Us against Abuse became a reality in 1997, when co-founder Joey Alcarese and a diverse group of caring individuals saw a need to do more than just talk about Abuse. Joey lost a friend to an eating disorder and vowed to break the silence about the many unspoken abuses, while recruiting others to join her.  Lives are being changed!
