Us against Abuse became a reality in 1997, when
co-founder Joey Alcarese and a diverse group of caring
individuals saw a need to do more than just talk about Abuse.
Joey lost a friend to an eating disorder and vowed to break the
silence about the many unspoken abuses, while recruiting others
to join her. Lives are being changed!
One Heart, One Mind, One Life at a Time!!!
Us has become part of the National Heritage Foundation to grow
nationally.
“This organization has made a choice not to remain silent.”
